Rules of Play

Heart Attack is played with one standard 52 card deck. Each player is dealt three cards and the object of the game is to discard all three cards. In addition, the game offers optional side bets.

How to Play:
  • Game play begins with players placing equal Ante and Hearts Blind bets, and optionally placing the “Attack Bet” and “Hearts Plus” side bets.
  • The player and dealer each receive three cards. The dealer cards are face down.
  • The dealer will turn three cards over, one at a time. These cards are called “Action Cards”.
  • Each player will evaluate their hand and discard one of their cards if they have the same suit or rank as the “Action card” or if the “Action Card” or player’s card is a Heart.
  • When the “Action Card” is a Heart, the player may play any card. If the player’s card is a Heart, they may play it on any “Action Card”.
  • If the player can discard all three of their cards, the player wins both the Ante (pays 1 to 1) and Hearts Blind bet, which will be paid based on the total number of Hearts in the player’s hand and the dealer’s hand combined.
  • If the player cannot discard all three of their cards, the player will lose their Ante and Hearts Blind bet.
Optional Bets:
  • The “Attack Bet” is based on the player’s three card hand and pays odds against the posted paytable.
  • The “Hearts Plus Bet” is based on the combined cards of the dealer and player and pays odds against the posted paytable.
